ROME, November 7, 2025 – The first meeting of the Board of Directors of the Italian-Turkish Association of Entrepreneurs (AIIT) was held in the prestigious setting of the Capital, marking a fundamental milestone for economic cooperation between the two countries following its recent establishment.

Under the leadership of President Giuseppe Laghezza Masci, the meeting represented a moment of extraordinary cohesion, bringing together leaders and professionals from across Italy and major international hubs. The high level of participation testified to the project’s widespread reach: from the Italian centers of Florence, Naples, Brindisi, Abruzzo, Catania/Sicily, and Rome, to a global representation arriving from Berlin, Baku, Dubai, Zurich, and Istanbul.

An International Vision: Joining TÜRKONFED

The strategic importance of the Association was solidified by two key moments during the session:

• Institutional Presence: The Board had the honor of hosting Gizem Güreşçi, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Rome, confirming the solid diplomatic and commercial ties supporting the initiative.
• Internationalization: With the invaluable contribution of Arda Batu, Secretary General of TÜRKONFED and founding member, the Board formally approved its membership in TÜRKONFED International. This move officially integrates the Association into the largest and most influential Turkish business network in the world.
